Clifton Hill Niagara Falls: Nueva temporada, nuevas atracciones

Clifton Hill Niagara Falls District Anuncia Nuevas Atracciones para los Visitantes de Niagara Falls, Ontario

New Clifton Hill hotels, restaurants, exhibits, and Las Vegas-style illusions are just a few of the exciting Niagara Falls tourist attractions for the summer of 2010

Niagara Falls, Ontario (PRWEB) May 6, 2010 — As spring wakes up Niagara, so do many new additions to the attractions on Clifton Hill Niagara Falls that bring over 14 million visitors to the area each year. Although the main attraction, the thundering Falls themselves, have remained much the same for many millennia, the start of each new tourist season brings new dining options, unique accommodation choices, and things to do to Clifton Hill – Niagara Falls’ thrilling entertainment district.

 (Novedad Temporada 2010: )

New this year to the Clifton Hill Entertainment District is an interactive Michael Jackson exhibit at Louis Tussauds Wax Museum, including a complete stage setup and several wax figures of the King of Pop himself. Louis Tussauds also opens a new “Living Mask” souvenir shop in the lobby where visitors can have a wax bronze mask of their own face created to purchase and take home.

Over the last ten years the Clifton Hill Niagara Falls Entertainment District has been the center of fun and entertainment in Niagara Falls. Those who have not indulged in a Niagara vacation in years will be stunned by the improvements. Since the opening of the first Casino Niagara in December 1996, souvenir shops and motels in the Clifton Hill District have given way to glamorous Las Vegas-style midways and four star Clifton Hill Hotels.

Also appearing in the Clifton Hill Entertainment District in 2010 is a new “Grand Illusion” from Greg Frewin. The Las Vegas calibre magician will perform his death defying “Blades of Doom” illusion which will also be featured on his CBC television special later in the year. The stunt pits the Grand Master of Illusion against flaming blades while suspended and bound in a straight jacket.

New Clifton Hill dining options for the summer of 2010 include fresh lunch and dinner menus at the popular Tony Roma’s and Al Mac’s restaurants as well as a hot, new restaurant soon to be announced across the street from Al Mac’s, featuring Wood Oven Pizza and a variety of seasonal dishes.

Planning the perfect Niagara vacation itinerary and exploring all the new Niagara Falls tourist attractions before embarking on a trip is made easy on the new Victoria Centre/Clifton Hill District BIA website at www.topofcliftonhill.com. The site features comprehensive information on Clifton Hill hotels, restaurants, and things to do in the entertainment district of Niagara Falls. Visitors can enter to win a two day Getaway to Niagara Falls for their family, including accommodations, and passes to a variety of family friendly attractions, museums and more! Visitors will also find an itinerary builder and an array special offers and packages for planning a spring or summer getaway to Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

This is a Brooklyn-bound G-train, the next stop is: Michael Jackson immortalized at Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets.

The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership negotiated an agreement to create a mural of the late King of Pop at the entrance of the Hoyt-Schermerhorn train station, the New York Post reports.

The display is still being planned with no word on who will design the artwork, which will be displayed on the front of an office building at 45 Hoyt Street.

The location holds special significance because the Hoyt-Schemerhorn station is where director Martin Scorsese directed Jackson in the iconic 1987 music video “Bad.”

“We see this as a great opportunity to potentially establish Hoyt-Schermerhorn’s role in American pop culture and as a tourist destination to attract people to a part of Downtown Brooklyn already rapidly growing,” Joe Chan, president of the partnership told The Post.

Since the project will be shown on property belonging to real estate company Beneson Capital, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority‘s permission is not required.

This is not the first time a Hoyt-Schermerhorn Jackson tribute was proposed — Last fall, the MTA rejected City Councilwoman Letitia James’ suggestion to rename the station after the “Thriller” singer and hang up a plaque of him.

Y yo me pregunto …
